ABOUT OUR NAME

Madeira is a remote island located in a Portuguese archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa. Its airport is notorious for having one of the most extreme landings in the world. The runway is abutted by water on one side and steep hills on the other. To land here, a pilot must deftly account for the island’s many geological and architectural challenges: low visibility, buffeting crosswinds, a low approach, and a famously short runway. Like landing on Madeira, successful M&A transactions require the ability to account for the myriad of financial, emotional, and personal variables uniquely inherent to such monumental decisions.
